Ceramic Pro Finish

  • How is ceramic coating different from wax?

    Wax sits on top of your paint and typically lasts 1–3 months before it breaks down from heat, UV rays, and washing. Ceramic coating chemically bonds to your paint at a molecular level, forming a semi-permanent layer of protection. It doesn't wash off or evaporate — it has to be mechanically removed.


    In Florida's climate, wax degrades even faster. A coating rated for 1–5 years means real, consistent protection through summer heat, salt air, and daily washing — without needing to reapply every few months.


    Ceramic lasts up to 60× longer than traditional wax.

  • Can I wash my car normally after coating?

    Yes — in fact, washing becomes easier. The hydrophobic surface causes water and dirt to bead up and slide off rather than sticking to the paint. A simple rinse removes most contaminants that would otherwise require scrubbing.


    The main thing to avoid is automatic brush car washes. The abrasive brushes can create micro-scratches over time. Hand washing or touchless washes are recommended to get the most out of your coating's lifespan.

    Avoid brush car washes — hand wash or touchless only. Our Elite Protection, Ultimate Defense, and Pro Finish packages include a warranty that covers coating failure — meaning if the coating loses its hydrophobic properties or bonding before the rated lifespan, we will assess and address it at no additional charge.


    Warranty coverage requires following our aftercare guidelines, including avoiding brush washes and scheduling annual maintenance inspections. Ask your detailer for full warranty terms at the time of your appointment.

    Available on 3-year, 5-year, and Pro Finish packages. Ceramic coating locks in your paint's current condition — which means it will also lock in any existing swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation if they aren't removed first. That's why every coating package at Conscious Car Care includes at minimum.

  • How long does the process take?

    Turnaround depends on the package. Our entry-level Ceramic Base is a same-day service, while our comprehensive Pro Finish takes approximately 2–3 days to complete the full paint correction and multi-surface coating process.


    After the coating is applied, there is also a cure window — typically 24–48 hours — where the vehicle should not get wet. We'll walk you through the exact timeline and 

    aftercare instructions when you book.
